Have to reply to this before doing anything else because, dude, Claire, you certainly know how to give me exactly what I want without me having even to ask for it.

Moonstar told me she knew what this was going to be but I had no idea so I've been eagar to see what lovely idea you've cooked up for me. =3 You've definitely succeeded in making me very happy, and as you said, it's certainly about time you got down to drawing the merman!Zane you helped create.

Both of the boys look absolutely fantastic on this! I like how not only is Zane showing chest (which, as a merman, you'd expect him to) but Atticus also has his shirt open for the fanservice shot. That's how all the sexy guys go fishing I'm sure. I adore how you've drawn both of their chests but in particular Atticus's bellybutton looks really cute to me. I want to poke it. o.o Or lick it, actually I'll leave the second option to Zane. Plus you drew him wearing my favourite outfit for him too. ^_^ The purple suit was awesome but nothing beats the Hawaiian shirt and it's sheer campness. XD And he's got his little sandals on. I forget he has those. Now I'm not going to pass up a chance to talk about his face of course, because that expression is just so "lulz-worthy" which fits since "lulz" seems to describe exactly what he's doing. Can't say I blame him. Oh, and your skill to draw things how they're suppose to look floors me because that fishing rod just looks so much like a fishing rod should. You even remembered the little hoopy-things that hold the rope. Though it makes me think that our boy must have a lot of body strength to be able to hold up a whole person. XD And the person he's holding has certainly been drawn very well too. You rock at drawing mythical creatures so drawing a merman must be like a walk in the park for you. I love how you've put details onto his fin to help it stand out more and look stronger. The fin at the bottom looks very sharp and his little scales are cute too. Though Atticu's bellybutton is still the cutest thing on this picture. XD And you've remembered to draw Zane dripping with water. It's easy to forget such a detail but it surely sets the scene a whole lot better. Poor guy certainly doesn't look amused by all this. Even if Atticus can get away with more than the average person could in Zane's eyes I'm sure fishing him up by-passes the mark juuuuust a little bit. That expression of his is awesome too, you've shown that he does have emotion while at the same time keeping it Zane. XD

Moving onto the background, the lighthouse was the only place this scene could have taken place. Nowhere else is nearly worthy enough to house the awesomeness of this. And your CG skills on the whole picture, characters and background alike, completely amaze me yet again. You've even remembered to do the shadows, and they're exactly in the right places. You get the trophy for that. It should be a crime that you were smart enough not to take art as a subject. XD

You know, I felt the same way when I was drawing your latest birthday picture, it sure doesn't feel like a whole year has gone by but time does fly when you're surrounded by awesome people. ^_^ It goes without saying that you're probably the main reason (or certainly one of them) that I log onto the Internet at all and I always look forward to talking to you. =3 Much love from me to you.
